LoroBolivia...a Compromise with the Freedom of parrots…

LoroBolivia was created to make sure that parrots in Bolivia will be free.

LoroBolivia  has the mission to educate, nationally and internationally, and to show our children, men and women from this Earth the sublime value of living in Freedom and Respect for life.

LoroBolivia is a place of information regarding the thousands of caged and mutilated parrots within Bolivia’s territory, a situation that has to change. It is an urgent task.

LoroBolivia is a place of learning, regarding wildlife and its protection and the care of our Fauna, especially the parrots, who´s sales and trade are absolutely abominable.

LoroBolivia educates, informs and makes transparent the abuse that we, like human beings ruthlessly inflict on thousands of parrots, cutting their feathers, mutilating them, not allowing them to fly free.

Our parrots beautify the landscape. When we see them flying, they fill us with joy.

LoroBolivia believes that it is the responsibility of every one of us to protect our wild animal species.  Nobody has told nor taught us from a young age, that parrots should be always free, that the flight of a free bird is a grace given by creation.

Parrots have an important ecologic function, like being dispersers of seeds and their hundreds of colorful and joyful species are one of the mayor attractions for international tourism.

LoroBolivia thinks that ALL OF OUR PARROTS should be free and the ones that are, like pets, in captivity, enslaved, should get their Freedom back.

Protecting parrots is protecting their home, the forests where they have  lived for millions of years, flying free.

LoroBolivia believes that in order to protect a parrot species in danger of extinction, we have to protect all parrots

LoroBolivia strongly rejects the notion that any trade in parrots is sustainable, because parrots are not slaves, nor decoration, nor pets, but free creatures.

LoroBolivia is against any trade in parrots.

The trade in parrots is a constant worry of LoroBolivia.

¡¡¡Attention!!!

To hunt or capture a parrot is a crime in Bolivia and according to the law it is paid with prison and fines.

¨NEVER BUY A PARROT¨- EVERY TIME YOU BUY A PARROT YOU ARE INITIATING THE CHAIN OF TRADE.
¨DON’T MAKE YOURSELF A PART OF THIS CRIME.¨
